Job Title:  Account Manager
Reports to : Account Director
Location: Bristol

Purpose of the role:

The Account Manager will be the main day-to-day contact for our largest automotive client. As well as being in full control of client projects and liaising internally across the agency to ensure that all areas of output are aligned (across planning, insight, production & creative) their role will be to support account on-boarding, growth and new business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Understand the commercial aims of the Clients business, their business objectives and what makes them money
  • Support the Account Director for identifying future revenue opportunities
  • Ensure that forecast and invoicing are aligned and delivered timely and efficiently
  • Understand and be familiar with the main principles of the contract, ensuring continued delivery against it by monitoring and reporting against agreed SLA’s
  • Have a thorough understanding of all financials relating to an account and ensure all departments carrying out work for a client also understand the associated financials for a piece of work
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with the day-to-day contact at the client
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal colleagues to ensure excellent service delivery
  • Understand marketing techniques across industry sectors
  • Proactively continue to develop marketing knowledge with particular reference to the clients objectives and strategy
  • Maintain a good understanding of the solutions deployed to your clients and its value to them
  • Work with the Account Director to provide input into the Occam Account Plan and solution vision
  • Understand the role of analysis/insight within your account and the Occam solution
  • Promote the Data Science function and identify opportunities for adding value for the client
  • To be a responsive point of contact both within the business and within the Client team for day-to-day issues and requirements
  • Lead client projects alongside the Project Manager ensuring that the client objectives are met
  • To inform the account services team of any issues positive or negative that arise and their potential impact immediately
  • Take direction from the Account Director in resolving issues
  • Manage the on-going service delivery within Occam ensuring service ‘excellence’
  • Manage any changes required to the client solution through the Occam ‘Delivery’ team
  • Ensure regular contact with the client providing updates
  • Run regular face-to-face status meetings and support the AD
  • Provide regular reporting on client activity for both the client and the client internal team

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years Account Management experience agency side
  • Excellent client-facing and presentation skills
  • Strong planning and organisational abilities with excellent time management
